Fixing Your Health

Health care is expensive. Very expensive. If you are waiting on your insurance, S.O., or the government to fix it/provide money for your care… keep on waiting. Let me know how that turns out.

By this point in your financial journey, you’ve mastered some pretty important skills. So how does your health figure into your finances beyond being a painful expense and experience?

Your health determines how much effort you can put into your financial success. Your health also determines how efficiently you can work on your finances. This, of course, does not even begin to touch on how your health affects other parts of your life. Your health affects EVERY aspect of your life, including your relationships with other people.

Bottome line: You’re at Pookah Finances 301. By this point, you can start investing in your own health. You know how much money per month you can put into it. You either already know, or can learn, more tricks to defray the cost (certain credit cards, insurance plans, and the use of a side business/LLC can help).

Here’s a place to start: Go see a nutritionist to make sure your body is getting enough of the raw materials it needs to work right. Make sure you get the price list in writing, first. Then use your Google skills to check out what the doctor tells you.
